We stayed at Ocean Sky Hotel and Resort, and it set the tone for the entire trip. Located directly on the beach, waking up to the sound of waves and stepping right onto the sand was unbeatable.
The resort offered a laid-back luxury vibe—perfect for relaxing between adventures. Whether it was sipping coffee with an ocean view or unwinding after a full day exploring, this was the ideal home base in Fort Lauderdale.
Everglades Adventure: Airboats & Wildlife
No trip to South Florida is complete without experiencing the Everglades National Park—and this was easily one of the highlights.
Riding an airboat through the vast wetlands was both peaceful and exhilarating. Skimming across the water while surrounded by untouched nature gave a completely different perspective of Florida.
We also caught a crocodile show, which brought us up close to these incredible creatures. Seeing them in action—and learning about their behavior—was both thrilling and educational. It’s one of those experiences you won’t forget.
Jungle Queen Riverboat Dinner Cruise
One of the most memorable parts of the trip was the legendary Jungle Queen Riverboat Tour, a Fort Lauderdale staple that’s been operating since 1935.
This wasn’t just a cruise—it was a full 4-hour experience packed with unforgettable moments:

- Passing through “Millionaire’s Row,” lined with stunning waterfront mansions and mega yachts
- Arriving at a private tropical island for dinner
- Enjoying an all-you-can-eat BBQ feast

The combination of history, scenery, food, and entertainment made this one of the most unique excursions we’ve done. Watching the sunset over the water and ending the night with a fire-lit performance was the perfect way to wrap up the day.
